A small cottage museum covering social and domestic history between 1840 and 1970, particularly in relation to Brentwood .
Staffed entirely by volunteers.
Housed in a pretty 19th century building once the cottage of the sexton who used to look after the cemetery next door.
Includes a 1930s kitchen, toys, games, mother and childhood displays and memorabilia from the First and Second World Wars.
Adjacent to the museum is the Lorne Road Nature Reserve, a peaceful disused cemetery.
